Your County aforesd of all and all manner of Witchcrafts
felonies inchantments sorceries Magick Art Trespasses Forestallings
Ingrossings and Extorcons whatsoever and of all &
singuler other misdeeds and offences (Excepting Matters relaseing
my to Titles of Lands of which Justices of the peace in England
may or ought Lawfully to Enquire By whomesoever or whersoever
don or perpetrated or which hereafter shall happen to be
don or perpetrated in the County aforesd against the Lawes
and Orders of this our Province provided you proceed not many
of the Cases aforesd to take life or member but that in every
such case You send the prisoners with their Indictm.t and the whole
matter depending before You to the Next Provintial Court to
be holden for our said Province whensoever or whersoever to
be holden there to be Tried And Wee doe farther authorise and
impower You to Issue out Writts processe and Attachm.ts to hold
plea of Oyer and Terminer in all personal Accons not Exceeding
the sume of Tenn Thowsand poundes of Tobaccoe and after Judgm.t
Execacon to Award in all causes Civil wither real or personal
according to the Lawes orders and reasonable customes made &
provided in this our Province of Maryland in which causes Civil
soe to be Tryed (Excepting as before Excepted) Wee doe constitute
ordaine and appoint You the several and respective persons aforsd
to be Judges as aforesaid And therfore Wee doe Command You that
You diligently attend the Keeping of the peace Lawes and Orders &
all and singular other the promises And att certaine dayes appointed
according to Act of Assemblie in such case made and provided and
att such place (which You or any Fower or more of You as aforesd
shall in that behalfe appoint) You make Enquiry upon the p.rmises &
performe and fullfill the same in forme aforesd doeing therin that ^wch^
to Justice appertaineth according to the Lawes ordes and reasonable
Customes of this our Province And therfore Wee Command the
sheerif of our said County by vertue of these p.rsents that at the
place and on the dayes aforesd that You or any Fower or more of
You as aforesd shall make Knowne to him to give his attendance
on you and (if need require) to cause to come before You or any
Four or more of You as aforesaid such and soe many good and
Lawfull men of Your County by whom the truth of the p.rmises
