585 (299) Elizabeth Downes servant to M.r Michael Miller adjudged to be Twenty Yeares of Age and to serve according to Law in such case made and provided Simon Wilmer Clk Robert Foreman William Bateman and Walter Tally doe prove a Letter of Attorny from John Edmundson of Talbot County dated the Third day of January 1695 for the Uses therin specified Simon Wilmer being by the said Letter of Attorny authorized doth acknowledge the Land therin specified unto Robert Foreman and William Bateman M.r Michael Miller brings before this Court the Orphans of Edward Apsley viz William and Ann who are by this Court bound to the said Miller the Boy until he arrive att the Age of Twenty and One Yeares the sid Miller herein Court oblidging himselfe to learne him to Read and Write and likewise the Grade of a Cooper the Girle until she arrive at the Age of sixteene Yeares or the day of her Mariage and the said Miller doth likewise oblidge himselfe that the said Ann shall not work in the ground for the makeing of either Indian Corne or Tobaccoe and that he will at the Expiracon of their recited servitude give them necessary and decent cloathing and deliver them a Yearling Heifer and steere and two sowes which were their fathers Jonas Greenwood in person and Katherine his Wife by Simon Wilmer her Attorney doe Acknowledge a deed to M.r James Wroth according to the Uses therin specified Simon Wilmer Clk |
