Mathew Farrington of Lynn in y.e Masachusets Collony in New
England yeman & Sarah his wife which y.e sarah is y.e Daughter
of y.e late Martha Potter Deceas.d And Grand Child of Robertt
Burgis of Lynn afores.d Yeman & Sarah his wife: Elizabeth Burgis
Daughter of y.e s.d Robertt Burgis & sarah his wife which s.d sarah
Burgis Deceas.d was y.e sister of Thomas South Late of y.e County
of Kent in y.e Province of Maryland Gen.t Deceased sends Greeting
Know you that we y.e s.d Mathew Farrington & sarah his wife &
Elizabeth Burgis: For Divers good Causes & Considerations
as hereunto at this p.rsent Especill all moveing: have Assigned
ordained & made & in one steed & Place by these Presents Doe
Putt & Constitute ou.r trusty Friend Sam.ll Winslow of Boston in
y.e s.d Collony of y.e Massathusets Merchant to be ou.r true &
Lawfull Attorny: for us & in ou.r names & to ou.r use & behooff:
To Enter into & upon all and every such houses Lands & Plantation
or Plantations w.th y.e Rights Privelidges & Aportenances what so
ever To y.e same belonging: as y.e same are Scittuated Lying and being
in y.e s.d Province of Maryland & given & bequeathed to y.e s.d sarah
Burgis Grand Mother & mother unto us y.e Constitutants by y.e s.d
Thomas South in & by his Last will & Testament: And To Take &
keep Possesion of y.e same land y.e s.d Plantation houses & Lands w.th
y.e Rights Previledgis & Apuretinances & every or Any of them for
us and in ou.r names: to grant bargaine & sell To such person and
persons: And for such Estates of Inheritance: or other wise &
for such sume or sumes of mony: or other pay as to ou.r Attorny
shall be thought meet & Requiset To y.e utmost & best profit
of us y.e s.d Constitutants & Deed & Deeds of y.e same grants: so to be
& made for us & in ou.r names to make seale & Deliver unto y.e parties
to whome y.e same shall be so made or to any other use or uses what
so ever: And also to Ask Demand sue for Recover & Receive of
all and every Person or Persons what so ever within y.e Province
of Maryland Afores.d all & every such Debts Rents sume & sumes
of many goods Wares Merchandize which is or hereafter shall be
[illegible] Belonging or Apertaining unto us or either or any
of us: by any manner of waies or meanes what so ever & for y.e
Default of payment of Delivery y.e s.d Debt.rs or other person or
