Farrington of Lynn In y.e Massachusetts Collony in New England
Yeman & sarah his wife which s.d sarah is y.e Daughter of y.e
Martha Potter Deceased: and Grand Child of Robertt Burgis of Lynn
afores.d Yeaman & sarah his wife: Elizabeth Burgis Daughter of y.e
s.d Robertt Burgis: & sarah his wife: which s.d sarah: Burgis Late
Deceased was y.e sister of Thomas South Late of Kent County in y.e
Province of Maryland: Gen.t Deceased: said Greeting Know y.e that
the s.d Mathew Farrington and sarah his wife & Elizabeth Burgis
for & in Consideration of y.e Full & Just sum & quantity of Twenty five
Thousand pounds of good & Merchantable tobacco & Caske to them in
hand att & before y.e Ensealing hereof by Collon.ll Henry Coursey of Talbott
County in y.e s.d Province of Maryland Esq.r well & truly payd The receipt
whereof [illegible] knowledg and themselves therewith fully satisfied
and Contented & thereof & plead every [illegible] thereof [illegible] Aquit [illegible]
& Discharge y.e s.d Henry Coursey his heirs Executors Administrators
Asignes [illegible] given granted bargained sold Alianated Enfeoffed and
[illegible] And by these p.rsents Doe Fully and Absolutely give grant
Bargaine sell Afene Enfeoffe & Confirme Unto y.e s.d Henry Coursey
his heirs Exectors Administrators and Assignes For ever all that
plantation housing and Land: which was given and bequeathed unto y.e s.d
Sarah Burgis Grandmother to y.e s.d Elizabeth Burgis by y.e s.d Thomas
South Late of Kent County in y.e Province of Maryland Gen.t Deceased
by his Last will and Testament Bearing Date y.e 13.th Day of Octob.r in y.e
yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred & seventy and three w.th
Plantation housing & land is Scittuate and being on y.e North side of
Chester River in Kent County afores.d neare y.e mouth of y.e s.d River
Togather w.th all houses Ediffices buildings orchards Gardens pastures
Trees Woods Underwoods swamps meadows Marshes Waters Watertowne
Proffits Priviledges Rights Comodities Apurtinances what so ever
to y.e same Plantation having & Land belonging or in any wise [illegible]
And also all Deeds writtings and Evidences what so ever to
y.e same or any partt thereof That they the s.d Mathew Farrington
and sarah his wife and Elizabeth Burgis or either or any of them
have or Cann Come by without suit of Law To have & to hold
