This Indenture Made the one & twentieth day
of March in y.e yeare of our Lord (1691/2) & in y.e 4.th
yeare of their Mas.ties Reigne and betweene John
Jones of Kent or Talbot County in y.e province of
Mary Land Brazier of y.e one part & Francis Stevens
of Kent County planter of y.e other p.t Wittnesseth
that y.e s.d John Jones for & in consideration of y.e
sum of or Quantity of five thousand pounds of tobb
allready paid & to be paid by y.e s.d Francis Stevens
& for divers good causes & other considerations him y.e s.d
Jn.o Jones thereunto Moveing Doe by these presents & signing
& sealing y.e same hath given granted barganed sold
Aliened enfeoffed & confirmed & by these presents
doth fully freely & absolutely give grant bargan
sell alien enfeoffe & confirme unto y.e s.d Francis
Stevens his heirs & assignes for ever all y.t parcell
of Land called Joneses plot liein lying & being on
Kent Island in Kent County begining at a marked
Spanish oake standing at y.e head of great thicket
Creeke & on y.e North East side of y.e s.d Island &
runing South two hundred & twenty perches then
south East Eighty perches then South & by East forty
& eight perches to a marked black oake being a bounded
tree of W.m Joyners standing at y.e head of Long
Creeke standing on y.e west side of y.e s.d Creeke then
west ^ninety p^ to a marked pine tree standing on y.e East side
of y.e Eastern Creeke then North & by East up y.e s.d Creek
Eighty four perches to a small marked pine standing
at y.e head of y.e s.d Creeke then North west & by west
forty two perches to a marked Red oake then North
one hundred & twenty perches to a marked white
oake & from thence to y.e first bounded tree
