Know all men by these presents that I Robert
Glanvile of Salem Mariner of y.e County of Essex
in New England for divers good causes & considerations
moveing me there unto have made constituted
authorised & apointed & in my place & stead have
put M.r Hans Hanson Gent planter in Chester
River in Kent County in y.e province of Mary Land
my true & lawfull attorny for me & in my name
& to my use to aske demand & Receive of & from all
& every person & persons whatsoever in Mary Land
all such sum or sums of money goods wares merchandise
Debts Effects & Demands whatsoever as are or shall
any wayes be due oweing or belonging to mee by
all or every or any person or persons whatsoever
in y.e fores.d province of Mary Land Giveing and
granting unto my s.d attorny by vertue of these
presents full power & lawfull authority for me
& in my name & to my use as affores.d to sue arrest
attach impleade imprison & prosecute all & every
or either of y.e s.d person or persons & his her or their
heirs Exct.rs or Admt.rs Goods Chattells Lands or
tenements & to use all lawfull wayes & means for
the obtaining & Recovery of the premises or any part
thereof according to y.e law usage or custome of y.e Country
or place where they or any or either of them shall be
& I doe further give & grant unto my s.d attorny full
power & authority to constitute & apoint an atto.ry
or attornies under him & y.e same at his pleasure to
revoke & upon Receipt of y.e premises or any part thereof
Receits acquitances & other Lawfull discharges in my
name to make Ratifieing & allowing & confirming
whatsoever my s.d attorny shall Lawfully doe or cause
to be done in or about y.e premises or any part thereof
to be as good & effectual in y.e law to all intents & purposes
as if I had done y.e same in my owne person in
witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand & seale
this 17.th day of Apr.ll An.o 1690 in y.e 2.d yeare of y.e
