The said Jury being sworne heard Evedences receive their Charge goe forth They returne bring their verdict & say Wee the Jurers finde Winiford Cross guilty of stealing one Couife to the vallue of two pence Starle John Payne foreman The Court Receiving the Jurys verdict doe order her punishment Laying well twenty Lashes on her bare back she pleading bigg wth Child her punishment be suspended untill delivery in the mean time to be of good behavour This Court ord.rs the Sheriff to take her into Custody untill she give security for her good Aberant and aperance at the next Court to be held for this County Edward James offers himselfe security wth the Court acceps off Edward James doth acknowledge himselfe to stand Indebted to the Right hon.ble the Lord prop.try in the sum of teen pounds starl to be Levied of his Lands and Tenements goods and Chattles if that the said Winiford Cross be not of good abarance and behavour to his Lordpp and all his Lordpp.s good people and make her personall apperance the Court Mich.ll Turbutt Clk |
