Att a Court held for Talbott County the fifteenth day of
March in the twelfth year of the Dom.on of Charles &c.a An.o
Dom 1686 Came the wth in named Judith Hemsley and
acknowledged the within Indenture Bargin and sale to be
her Acts and Deeds for the aforwithin menconed

This Indenture made this 18.th Day of September and
in the Eleventh year of the Dominion of Charles Absolute
Lord and proprietary of the province of Maryland and
Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore and in the year of
our Lord Christ one thousand Six hundred Eighty and Six on
and between Michael Miller of the County of Kent and
Ann his Wife of the one part and Thomas Lewis of the
same County Cooper of the other part Witneseth that
he the said Michael for an in Consideration of the
sum of Six thousand pounds of Tobacco to him in hand
payd at or before the Ensealing of these presents
the thereof the Michael Doth hold himselfe therewith
fully satisfyed Contented and payd and thereof and of
every part and percell theof doth hereby Exonerate
acquit and Discharg the said Thomas Lewis his heirs
and Assignes for ever hath given granted bargained
sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed unto him
the said Thomas Lewis all that percell of Land
Lyeing and being in Kent County Aforesaid being part
of a Devident of Land granted unto the said Michael
Miller Contayning fifteen hundred Acres Called
(Arcadia) Begining at a marked Rede Oake standing
