This Indenture made the Eleventh
Day of March ann.o q.r Dom 1685 And in
the Eleventh Yeare of the Dominion of
Charles absolute Lord & prop.ry of the provinces
of Maryland & avalon Lord Baron of
Baltemore & Between Michaell Miller
of Kent county in y.e province of Maryland
gent and William Pickett of the county and
province afores.d planter Wittnesseth that he
the s.d Michaell Miller for and in concideracon
of two thousand pounds of tobaccoe in cask to him
in hand payd at and before the Ensealing & delivery
of these presents by the s.d William Pickett
well and truly payd the receit whereof the s.d
Michaell Miller doth acknowledge himself [illegible] w.th
and of Every parte & parcell thereof fully satisfied
discharge the s.d William Pickett his heires Exe.rs
Adminis.rs or assignes for Ever And by these p.rsents
doth fully clearly & absolutly give grant bargaine
sell alien Enfeoffe & confirm unto the s.d William
Pickett his heires Ex.rs Adm.rs or assignes all that
parcell or tract of Land called clifton containing
and Laid out for fifty acres more or Less Lying
and being in Kent county afores.d Near the head
of a Creek in the s.d county called Swan Creek
begining at a Marked red oake tree standing
in a Swamp and in the Line of a parcell of
Land formerly Layd out for Robert Neaves called
Wolfs head and bounded on the West by a Line
drawn South from the s.d red oak tree for breadth
fifty perches unto a Marked white oake tree and
on the South by a Line drawne from the s.d white
oake tree at the End of the South Line East South
East Line One hundred & sixty perches on the East
by a Line drawn North from the End of the
East South East Line fifty perches on the
North of a Line drawne North from by a Line
drawne North North west from the End of the North Line
