Robertt Smith of this County otherwise Called Robertt Smith
of Talbott County one of y.e Attornys of this Courtt standeth
Attached to Answer unto Hans Hanson of this County Administ.r
of all & singuler y.e goods & Chattels Rights Debts & Cred.ts of
Stephen Cutbartt: Late of this County Deceast in an Action of
trespass on y.e Case

And Whereupon y.e s.d Hanss by William Harris his Attorny Complaineth
& saith: that y.e s.d Rob.t Did stand Indebted Unto y.e afores.d
Stephen in his life time: y.e sum of Fiveteen hundred pounds
of tobacco: being in Consideration of tenn Barrells of Indian
Corne: which he y.e s.d Rob.t Did purchase of the s.d stephen
in his life time: yett never the Less: y.e s.d Rob.t to him y.e s.d
Stephen in his life time Did not Content & pay: nor since his
Death: have paid to y.e s.d Hanse in his Capacity but y.e same
to pay Doth deme although often thereto Required to y.e Damage
of him y.e s.d Hanse y.e sum of Eight hundred pounds of tobacco

And whereupon y.e s.d Michaell Miller by John Woodward his Attorny
Complaineth that y.e s.d Daniell Norris is Indebted to y.e s.d M.l Miller
in y.e sum of five hundred pounds of tobacco as by his Accomp.t in
Courtt produced Relation thereunto had more fully may appear
w.ch s.d sum of five hundred pounds of tobacco y.e s.d Daniell Norris

not paied: but y.e same to satisfie & paie hath Refused & as yett
