firm, a certain road in Harford county, passed at November session, eighteen hundred and seven, the bill to re-
peal the act therein mentioned, the bill for the more effectual preservation of the breed of wild deer in Dorches-
ter county, the bill to re-value the work done on the Baltimore and York-town turnpike road, and the bill con-
firming the title of James Kent, Thomas Kent, Francis Kent, William Coleman, and the heirs of James Kent,
the elder, to the lands therein mentioned, severally endorsed, " will pass. " Ordered to be engrossed. Also
the bill for the appointment by the people of the justices of the levy courts in the several counties of this state,
the bill for the relief of George Rutter, of Washington county, the bill for the relief of Jacob Gettig, of the
city of Baltimore, and the bill tor the relief and benefit of John Moor, of Somerset county, severally endorsed,
" will not pass. " Also 'he bill for opening a certain road in Baltimore county therein mentioned, and the bill
to authorise certain commissioners to lay off a town in Montgomery county, by the name of Brookeville, seve-
rally endorsed, " will pass with the proposed amendments; " which amendments were read the first and second
time by especial order, agreed to, and the bills ordered to be engrossed. And the engrossed bills from No. 1 to

A petition from sundry inhabitants of Montgomery county, praying for a road from Patowmack river to Myer's
ferry, was preferred, read, and referred to Mr. Carroll, Mr. S. Thomas and Mr. Veatch, to consider and re-
port thereon.
