repay to the said securities the said sum of £ 140 14 7, with interest thereon from 11th day of June, 1802, as
stated in said petition, instead of paying interest on the said sum of £140 14 7 from the 11th day of June,
1792, when, it appears to your committee, the said poundage fees were paid to the sheriff of Prince-George's
county, from which time, your committee are of opinion, the interest ought to have been paid, and therefore
submit the following resolution:
RESOLVED, That the treasurer pay to Rinaldo Johnson, for the securities of Thomas Williams, the sum of
£84 8 9, being the amount of interest due on £140 14 7 poundage fees, paid by the securities to the sheriff
of Prince-George's county on the llth day June, 1792, under a fieri facias issued by the state for a larger sum
than was due from the said securities, the principal sum of £ 140 14 7, with interest from the 11th June, 1802,
having been heretofore paid, under a resolution of the last session of assembly.

Which was read.
The following resolution was read.
RESOLVED, That the treasurer of the western shore be and he is hereby directed to payout of any unappro-
priated money in the treasury, the sum of ——— dollars to the order of the court of Allegany county, to be
applied, under the direction of the said court, towards finishing and completing the road from Hancock to Cum-
berland, as the same has been located and laid off, agreeably to the provisions of a resolution passed at the last
session of the legislature.
A petition from John Hackett, of Queen Anne's county, praying a special act of insolvency, was preferred,
read, and referred to Mr. Spencer, Mr. Hopper and Mr. Wright, to consider and report thereon.
Mr. Spencer, From the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act confirming the title of James
Kent, Thomas Kent. Francis Kent, William Coleman, and the heirs of James Kent, the elder, to the lands
therein mentioned, which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.
Mr. Harryman, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act to alter and change the
name of Catherine Dimmett to Catherine Ringgold; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.
Mr. Bland, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled. An act annulling the marriage of
Peter Lucas and Lydia Lucas; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.
The report on the petition of William Keough, was read the second time, the resolution therein contained as-
sented to, and sent to the senate by the clerk.
The bill annulling the marriage of Charles H. Tunis, and Harriet his wife, of Anne-Arundel county, was
read the second time, and the question put, Snail the said bill pass? Determined in the negative.
Mr. Bayly, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled. An act to prevent persons from staking
out seines across the river Wiccomico, in Somerset county; which was read the first time and ordered to lie on
the table.
The bill to lay out and open a road in Prince-George's county and part in Montgomery county, was read the
second time by especial order, passed, and sent to the senate by the clerk.
On motion, the question was put, That leave be given to bring in a bill, entitled, A supplement to the act,
entitled, A further supplement to the act, entitled, An act for regulating the mode of staying executions, and
repealing the acts of assembly therein mentioned, and for other purposes? Resolved in the affirmative.
ORDERED, That Mr. T. N. Williams, Mr. Wilson and Mr. Dorsey, be a committee to prepare and bring in
the same.
The house proceeded to the second reading of the bill to alter such parts of the constitution and form of go-
vernment of this state us relate to voters and qualification of voters, and the question was put, That the fur-
ther consideration of the same be referred to the next general assembly? The yeas and nays being required,
