The question was then put, That the word " Resolved" be stricken out? Resolved in the affirmative.

The question was then put, That the word " Ordered" be inserted in lieu thereof? Resolved in the affirma-
tive.

The question was then put, That the whole of the said order from the word " house" be stricken out? Re-
solved in the affirmative.

The question was then put, That the house agree to said order? Resolved in the affirmative.

Mr. T. Dorsey, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act directing the register of
wills for Baltimore county to deliver over to the persons therein named the last will and testament of Robert
Burney, and a bill, entitled, A further supplement to an act, entitled, An act to encourage the establishing of
a hospital for the relief of indigent sick persons, and for the reception and care of lunatics; which were read
the first time and ordered to lie on the table.

The house adjourns until to-morrow morning 9 o'clock.

THURSDAY, November 19, 1807.

THE house met. Present the same members as on yesterday. The proceedings of yesterday were read.
Mr. Carroll appears in the house. Mr. John Gale, a delegate returned for Somerset county, appeared, and after
qualifying in the mode prescribed by the constitution and form of government, and taking the oath to support
the constitution of the United States, took his seat in the house.

A petition from Sarah Winchester, and others, of Baltimore county, praying for a sale of the real estate of
James Winchester, deceased, was preferred, read, and referred to Mr. T. Dorsey, Mr. Little, Mr. M. Brown,
Mr. C. Dorsey and Mr. Steuart, to consider and report thereon.

A petition from sundry inhabitants of Frederick county, praying for a bridge over Monocacy, was preferred,
read, and referred to Mr. Kuhn, Mr. Shriver and Mr. Biggs, to consider and report thereon.

Mr. Callis has leave of absence.

The bill to revive and aid the proceedings of the orphans court of Saint-Mary's county, was read the second
time, passed, and sent to the senate by the clerk.

Mr. Kuhn, from the committee, delivers to the speaker a bill, entitled, An act authorising a lottery to raise
a sum of money for the purpose of building a bridge across the river Monocacy, in Frederick county; which
was read the first time and ordered to lie on the table.

The report of the committee on the petition of Keally Tydings, was read the second time, and the question
put, That the house concur with said report, and assent to the resolution therein contained? Resolved in the
affirmative; which was sent to the senate by the clerk.

On the second reading of the report on the petition of John Trueman, the question was put, That the blank
therein be filled up with the words " two hundred?" Determined in the negative.

The question was then put on one hundred and seventy-five dollars. Resolved in the affirmative.

The question was then put, That the house concur with the said report, and assent to the resolution therein
contained? Resolved in the affirmative; which was sent to the senate by the clerk.

On motion, the question was put. That leave be given to bring in a bill, entitled, A supplement to an act
for rectifying the ill practices of attornies of this slate, and ascertaining fees to the attorney-general, clerk of
indictments, attornies and practitioners of the law in the courts of this state, and for levying the same by way
of execution? The yeas and nays being required, appeared as follow:

ORDERED, That Mr. Ennalls, Mr. Kerr and Mr. Little, of a committee to prepare and bring in the same.
Mr. Little, from the committee, delivers to the speaker the following report:
THE committee to whom was referred that part of the communication of his excellency the governor relating
to the militia and arms of the state of Maryland, beg leave to n port, that they have read and considered the
papers and documents laid before them on the subjects of their charge, and find, that of the public arms there
remains in the hands of the armourers at Frederick-town and the city of Annapolis, twelve hundred and twelve
muskets in good repair, and two hundred and fifty-two muskets which want repairs; ar. d that there were deli-
vered to the several militia officers through the state of Maryland, live thousand and seventy-two muskets; from
which it appears that the whole number of muskets, in and out of repair, the property of the state of Mary-
land, is about six thousand five hundred and thirty-six, a considerable portion of which number, your committee -
