368                                March Court 1727

    His psonall appearance at the then next March Court as an Evid.ce
Against the afd Philemon Church and now at this Court here to wit the
Ninteenth Day of March Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred & twenty Seven the
time to which he was bound the said John haveing Appeared his recognizance
is Discharged

    John Ridson of Kent County at Nov.r Court last Acknowledged
himself Indebted unto the Lord prop.ry of this Province of Maryland
in the Sum of five pounds Sterling to be made and Leveyed of his goods
and Chattles Lands and Tenements for the Use of his said Lordship his
heirs and Successors Conditionally that if he Should not make
his psonall appearance at the then next March Court as Prosecuter
against the s.d Philemon Church and now at the Court Here to wit
the ninteenth Day of March Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and
twenty seven / the time to which he was bound / the said John
Ridson having appeared his recognizance is Discharged

    And now at the afd March Court Came the afd Philemon &
his afd Lopp by Tench Francis his Attry prosecutor as Clerk of
the Indictments of this Court and having pleaded not guilty to the
Same Ind.t and Isue Joynd on the Country Verd.t for his Ldp against
the said Philemon being found Guilty of the felony in the same
Indictm.t Sett fourth &c.a         Thereupon at the prayer of the
said Philemon that time may be allowed him upon giving good
Secury for Executing the Judgm.t on the said verdict untill next
Court which is granted

    And Thereupon Philemon Church of Kent County planter
psent Here in Court in his proper pson Doth Acknowledge himself
Indebted unto the right Honourable the Lord prop.ry of this
Province of Maryland in the Sume of One hundred pounds Sterl
Money of Great Brittaine to be made and Leveyed of his goods
and Chattles Lands and Tenements for the use of the said Lord p.ry
his heirs and Successors Conditionally that if the same ^Philemon^ and
Shall not make his psonall appearance before the Justices
of the next Court to be held for the County afd at the Court house
in the Town of Chester in the same County on the thirday tuesday of June
June next then and there to Stand and Abide the Judgment of the Court
and the Verd.t of the Jurors afd and in the mean time to be of good
behavour         Also Benjamin Pearce of Cæcill County Gentl & Laughlin of
Kent County Innholder And psent here in Court in their pper pson
