    And now here at the third tuesday in March being the day of the
same month in the year afd last mentioned untill which day the afd
William Wood had liberty to Imparle and then to answer the Information
afd Comes the afd W.m Wood in his proper pson And the
afd plts by Tench Francis their attorny and the afd W.m Wood in
his proper pson cometh and Saith that he is not guilty of the psses
above upon him Imposed as by the afd Indictm.t it is alledged &
thereof he putteth himself upon the Country

    And he who followeth for the Lord propry in like manner
Say he is guilty
                                                T francis for L.d prop.ry

    Thereupon Command was given to the Sherf of Kent County
that he Imediatly Cause to Come here twelve &c by whom &c.a who
neither &c.a to recognize &c.a because as well &c.a of which said pcept
the said Sherf to wit John Gresham Gentl now here at this day to
wit the ninteenth Day of March Anno Dom Seventeen hundred
and twenty seven make return that he hath here ready twelve
&c.a as by his pcept he was Commanded And now here afterward
to wit the day & year last mentioned Come again the afd Lord p.ry be
his Attry afd And W.m Wood in his proper pson & the Jurors of
that Jury being Impanneled and Called likewise Came to wit Sam.ll
Groom, Samuel Tovey, Sam.ll Norris Phill.e Reason, Henry Truluck
Robert Dunn Jun.r Abram Ambrose, John Clove, Robert Green,
Humphry Younger, Arthor Foreman, W.m Huddleston, &c.a
who being Duly Elected tryed & Sworn to say the truth in the psses
upon their ^Oath^ do say that the afd W.m Wood is not guilty as above by the
Informon Sett fourth and by Samuel Groom their foreman allso say

    Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Court
House in the town of Chester in said County this Ninteenth day of March
Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred & twenty seven That the afd W.m Wood
as to the Information afd he go thereof without day and be therefrom
Acquited also it is Considered that the said W.m Wood pay the Sume of
twelve hundred ninty One pounds of tob.o Costs accrueing on the
psses afd to the officers of this Court &c.a

    Ordered by the Court here that the Sherf of said County keep the
afd W.m Wood in safe Custody untill the ^Sum^ afd he Shall Satisfie
                                                                                Jam.s Smith Clk.
