 Kent County fs.t The Jurors for the Right
Honourable the Lord Propry that now is
for the body of Kent County afd upon their
oath do present that Mary Wilson of Saint Pauls parish in
Kent County afd the wife of John Wilson of the afd County
Inholder the tenth Day of November Anno Dom Seventeen
hundred and twenty Seven at the parish afd in the County
afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court in and upon a
Certain Thomas Pool in the peace of God and of the said
Lord propry then and there being with force and arms
an Assault did make and him the said Thomas Pool then
and there did beat Wound and Evilly Treat so that of his
Life it was much dispaired and other harms to him then and
there did to the great Damage of him the same Thomas Poll,
and Contrary to the peace of the said Lord proprietary that now
is his good rule and Government &c.a

    On the back of the preceeding Indictment was Endorst as foll.s viz.t
a True bill by Thomas Hynson foreman

    And the afd Mary Wilson in her proper person Comes and
saith that she Cannott gainsay the Indictment afd so as afd
against her brought nor but that she is guilty of the premisses
above upon her Imposed as by the afd Indictment it is alledged
and thereupon Submitts to the Court

    Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at
the Court house in the Town of Chester in Kent County this
twenty first Day of November Anno Dom Seventeen hundred
twenty and seven that the afd Mary Wilson pay the sum of
five Shillings Current Money of Maryland as a fine for her
afd Offence of Committing an assault and Battery in form
afd Confest according to Act of Assembly in such Case made
Also it is Considered that the said Mary Wilson pay the sum of
four hundred & Eleven pounds of Tobacco Cost accruing on the
psses afd
