Wilson pay the Sume of Eight hundred and Ninety Two pounds of Tobacco
Costs accrueing on the premisses afd to the officers of this Court

 Kent County fs.t The Jurors for the R.t Hon.ble y.e Lord prop.ry
that now is for the Body of Kent County afd upon their oath
Do present that Thomas Jones late of Shrewsbury parish
in the County afd Planter otherwise Called Tho.s Jones of Cypress in the
said County planter the first Day of March in the year of our Lord God
one thousand Seven hundred and twenty two with force and Arms &c.a Att
the parish afd in the County afd and within the Jurisdiction of this Court
one Bay Colt of the price of one thousand pounds of Tob.o of y.e Goods
and Chattles of a Certain George Martin then and there being found then
and there feloniously Did Steal take drive and lead away Contrary to the
peace of the s.d Lord prop.ry his Good Rule and Dignity and against the
form of the Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided &c.a

    And the afd Thomas Jones in his proper person Comes and Saith that he is
in no Sort Guilty of the premisses above upon him Imposed as by the
afd Indictment it is alledged                    Tho.s Jones in p.a psona

    And Tench Francis Attorney of y.e s.d Lord prop.ry Cometh and Saith that
for as much as he hath not Evidence Sufficient to Maintaine the afd
Charge in the Indictment afd Specified against the s.d Tho.s Jones he will
not prosecute the Same Indictment any further Therefore it is Considered
by the Justices here this Seventeenth Day of August Anno Dom. Seventeen
hundred and twenty Seven that the afd Thomas Jones as to the
Indictment afd he go thereof without Day and be therefrom Acquitted
also it is Considered that the said Thomas Jones pay the Sume of two hundred
and Ninety Seven pounds of Tobacco Costs Accrueing on the premisses
afd to the officers of this Court                                    Jam.s Smith Clk

    Ordered by the Court here that the Sherf of Kent County keep the afd
Thomas Jones in Safe Custod untill he Shall Satisfie the fees
in the Judgment afd Specified

    The Court adjorns till to Morrow Morning at Eight of the Clock
