    John Brooks of Kent County Bricklayer haveing an Orphan of
said County under his Care and it appeareing that y.e s.d orphan is not
Dealt with by his s.d Master According to Indenture Therefore it is Considered
by the Justices here this 21.st Day of June Anno Dom. 1727 that y.e
said John Brooks pay the Sume of five Shill.s Current money as a fine for
his afd offence according to Act of Assembly in that Case made & provided

gent Attorney of the Right honourable y.e Lord prop.ry
that now is for the County afd who for the Same Lord
prop.ry in this part followeth in his proper person
doth Come here into Kent County Court at new Town in Kent County afd
the twentieth Day of June Anno Dom. Seventeen twenty and Seven
and for the Same Lord prop.ry Doth give the Court here to understand and
be informed that Elizabeth Young of S.t pauls parish in Kent County afd
the wife of a Certain John Young of the Same parish and County Taylor
the tenth Day of June Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred twenty and Seven
at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court in
and upon a Certain Ester Weller in the peace of God and of the said Lord ^prop.ry^
then and there being with force and arms to wit with Swords pistols Sticks
and Staves and other offensive weapons an Assault Did make and her
the Same Esther then and there Did beat wound and Evilly treat so that of
her life it was much Dispared and other harms to her then and there did
to y.e great Damage of the Same Esther and against y.e peace of the
said Lord prop.ry his good Rule and government &c.a wherefore the Same
attorney of the s.d Lord prop.ry for the Same Lord prop.ry prayeth the
