283 afd According to Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided Ordered by the Court here that y.e Sher of Kent County keep the s.d Thomas Jones in Safe Custody untill he Shall Satisfie the four fold amounting to two thousand four hundred pounds of Tobacco and the Sume of fourteen hundred and fifty pounds of Tobacco Costs Accrueing on the Indictment afd
third Teusday of June then next following and now at y.e afd third Teusday of June y.e s.d Tho.s appearing ordered that his Recognizance and his Suretys Recognizances be Discharged Thomas Jones of Kent County planter at last November Court as afd acknowledged himself Indebted unto y.e Lord prop.ry of this province of Maryland in the Sume of thirty pounds Sterling to be Levey'd of his Goods and Chattels Lands and Tenements for y.e use of y.e s.d Lord prop.ry his heirs and Successors Conditionally that if he Should not make his personal appearance before the Justices of the then next March Court to Answer unto an Indictment for felony and if that in y.e mean time he Should not be of good Behav.r at which s.d March Court y.e afd Thomas not appearing y.e afd Recognizance was Continued untill the third Teusday of June And now here ^at the afd^ third Teusday of June being y.e 20.th Day of s.d Month Anno Dom. 1727 y.e s.d Tho.s Jones haveing appeared his Recogniz.c is Discharged also John Mecay and Nicholas Rennalds both of Kent County planters at at last November Court as afd Acknowledged themselves Indebted unto the y.e Lord prop.ry of this province of Maryland in the Sume of of fifteen pounds Sterling Each to be Leveyed of theirs Goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements for the use of y.e s.d Lord prop.ry his heirs & Successors Conditionally that if the afd Thomas Jones Should not make his personal appearance before the Justices of of y.e then next march Court to Answer unto an Indictment for felony and if that in y.e mean time he Should not be of Good Behaviour at which s.d March Court y.e afd Thomas not appearing their afd Recognizances were Continued untill y.e third Teusday of June and now here at y.e afd third Teusday of June being y.e 20.th Day of said Month Anno Dom.1727 y.e afd Tho.s Jones haveing appeared y.e s.d John Mecay and Nicko.s Rennalds their Recog.cs & Either of them is Discharged Andrew |
