to Answer the Complaint of Daniel Pearkins and if that in the mean time
the afd Robert Should not be of good Behaviour and now at this Seventeenth
Day of Novemb.r Anno Dom. 1726 the said Robert haveing appeared y.e

Gent Attorney of the Right Honourable the Lord prop.ry
that now is for the County afd who for the Same Lord
in this part prosecuteth doth Come here into Kent County
Court before Lambert Wilmer Esq.r and his associates his said Lordships Justices
of the Same County Court to wit at Chester in the afd County the fiveteenth
Day of November Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred twenty & Six and for the
Same Lord prop.ry Doth give the Court here to understand and be informed
that Robert Linch of S.t pauls parish in Kent County afd planter the
Sixteenth Day of November Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred twenty & Six
at the Parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court
in and upon a Certain Daniel Pearkins in the peace of God and of y.e
said Lord prop.ry then and there being with force and arms an assault
did make and him y.e said Daniel then and there did beat wound and
evilly treat so that of his life it was much dispaired and other harms
to him then and there Did to y.e Great Damage of the same Daniel &
Contrary to y.e peace of the said Lord prop.ry that now is his good rule and
Government &c.a Wherefore y.e afd Attry prayeth the advice of the Court
here in the premisses for the said Lord prop.ry and Due process of Law
against the afd Robert in this part to Issue to Answer unto y.e afd Lord prop.ry
of and upon the premisses &c.a                                         T francis Cler. pac.

    And the afd Robert Linch in his proper person Comes and Saith that he
can not gainsay the Information afd so as afd against him brought
nor but that he is guilty of the premisses above upon him Imposed as
by the afd Information it is alledged and thereupon Submits to y.e Court
Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Court house
in the Town of Chester in s.d County this Seventeenth Day of November
Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and twenty Six that the afd Robert ^Linch^
pay the Sume of two hundred pounds of Tobacco as a fine for his
