person and Relinquisheth the plea afd and saith that she Cannott gainsay the
Indictm.t afd so as afd against her brought nor but that she is guilty of the ppes
above upon her imposed as by the afd Indictm.t it is alledged and there upon
Submitts to the Court

    Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Court house in the Town
of Chester in Kent County this fifteenth Day of November Anno Dom. seventeen hundred
twenty and six that the afd Rebecca Jones stand on the pillory for the space
of one Quarter of an hour and that afterwards she receive at the publick whipping
post five Lashes well laid on ^her bare back^ till the blood appears as a punishment for
her afd Crime of foloniously stealing the afd up in form afd Confest Also
it is Considered that the said Rebecca Jones pay the sum of four hundred Sixty
seven pounds of Tobacco Costs accruing on the premisses afd to the Officers of
this Court                                                                                Jam.s Smith Clk

    Ordered by the Court here at this Day to wit the Day and Year last mentioned
that the Sherrf of Kent County take the afd Rebecca Jones into his Custody and
Execute the punishment in the Judgment afd specefied and afterwards to bring
her into Court again Off which precept the said Sherrf to wit John Gresham
Gentl high Sherrf of Kent County makes return on the Day and Year last said
that he hath Executed the said Judgm.t And also hath here the said Rebecca
Jones before the Court

    Ordered by the Court here that the Sherrf of Kent County keep the said Sarah
Rebecca Jones in safe Custody untill she shall sattisfie the four fold for the
Cup in the Indictment afd Specefyed amounting to the sum of ten shillings
Current Money of Maryland And the sum of four hundred Sixty and
seven pounds of Tobacco Costs accruing on the Indictment afd

    M.r Tench Francis Clerk of Indictm.ts offers to the Court that
a Certain John Henry has abused M.r John Evans one of the Comm.rs of
this County upon which the Court orders the Sherrf of Kent County to bring
the said John Henry into Court ^and^ Also the Court orders that the said Tench
Francis Exhibit an Information against the said John Henry for the
abuse afd
