    Conditionally that if the afd James Clark should not make his psonall
appearance at any time dure the same Court Sitting to Answer unto an Information
found against him for an Assault and battery and if that in the
mean time he should not be of Good behaviour And the said Recognizance
being Continued till the third Tuesday of November then next following
Att which said third Tuesday of November being the fifteenth Day of s.d
Month Anno Dom. seventeen hundred twenty & Six the afd James
Clarke having appeared the said ^Jn.o Wilsons^ Recognizance is discharged

                        Memorandum that Tench Francis Gentl Attorney of the Right
Honourable the Lord proprietary that now is for the County afd who for the
same Lord prop.ry in this part prosecuteth doth Come here into Kent County
Court before Lambert Wilmer Esq.r and his Associates his said Lordships
Justices of the same County Court to wit at New Town in the afd County afd the
twenty first Day of June Anno Dom. seventeen hundred twenty and Six and
for the same Lord proprietary doth give the Court here to understand and be
Informed that Katharine Banks of Shrewsbury parish in the County afd
Spinster the first Day of October Anno Dom. seventeen hundred twenty and
five at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court
did Committ fornication with a Certain Negro person and did permitt the same
Negro perform then and there to have Carnall knowledge of her body and to begett
then and there a Bastard Child on the body of her the same Katharine to the
high Displeasure of Almighty God to the Evill Example of all others in such
Case Offending Contrary to the peace of the said Lord proprietary that now is his
good rule and Dignity And against the form of the Act of Assembly in
