221 Clark and [ ] his plea afd and Saith that he Cannot gainsay the Information afd so as afd against him brought nor Can he say that he is gulty of the premisses above upon him imposed and thereupon Submitts to y.e Court Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here this fifteenth Day of November Anno Dom. seventeen hundred twenty and Six that the afd James Clark pay the sum of fifty pounds of Tob.o as a fine for his afd Offence of Committing an Assault and battery Also it is Considered that he pay the sum of four hundred Ninety & Nine pounds of Tobacco Costs accruing on the premisses afd to the Officers of this Court Jam.s Smith Clk Ordered by the Court here to wit the day and year afd that the Sherrf of Kent County keep him the said James Clark in safe Custody untill he shall sattisfy the fine and fees in the Judgment afd Specefyed in the whole amounting to five hundred forty and Nine pounds of Tobacco The afd James Clark having Entered into Recognizance at last August Court for his appearance and good behaviour dureing the same Court sitting to answer unto an Information found against him for an Assault and battery And His said ^James's^ Recognizance and his Suretys Recognizance being Continued untill this Court And now the said James appearing Ordered that his Recogn.ce and his Suretys Recognizance be discharged James Clark of Kent County weaver at last August Court as afd Acknowledged himself Indebted unto the Lord prop.ry of this province of Maryland in the sum of ten pounds Sterling Money of Great Brittain to be made and Leveyed on his goods and Chattles Lands and Tenem.ts Conditionally that if he should not make his psonall appearance at Any time dureing the same Court sitting to Answer unto An Information found against him for An Assault and battery and if that in the Mean time he should not be of good behaviour And the said Recognizance being Continued 'till the third Tuesday of Novemb.r then next following Att which said third Tuesday of November being the fifteenth Day of said Month Anno Dom. seventeen hundred twenty & Six the said James Clark having appeared his said Recognizance is discharged also John Wilson of Kent County Innholder at last August Court as afd Acknowledged himself Indebted unto the Lord prop.ry of this province of Maryland in the sum of ten pounds Sterling Money of Great Brittain to be made and Leveyed on his goods and Chattles Lands and Tenem.ts Conditionally |
