Kent County fs.t Memorandum that Tench Francis
Gent Attorney of the Right Honourable the Lord
prop.ry that now is for the County afd who for the
Same Lord prop.ry in this part prosecuteth Doth
Come here into Kent County Court before Lambert Wilmer Esq.r and his
associates his s.d Lordships Justices of the Same County Court to wit at Chester
Town in the County afd the twenty Seventh Day of Septemb.r Anno Dom
Seventeen hundred twenty and Six and for the Same Lord prop.ry Doth
Give the Court here to understand and be Informed that John Wilson of
S.t pauls parish in the County afd Inholder the twenty Sixth Day of
September Anno Dom Seventeen hundred twenty & Six at y.e parish afd
in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court the Same John then
and yet being a Victualler and keeper of a publick House with^in^ y.e parish
County and Jurisdiction afd three Sailors belonging to the Ship Called y.e
Thomas and Mary now Rideing at Anchor in Chester River in the province
of Maryland of which Ship and Saylors Thomas Apleby then was and
now is Commander and Master wittingly willfully & unlawfully
without Leave or Licence from y.e afd Commander had or obtained did
Entertain and Harbour to the great Delay and hindrance of the Business
of the Ship and Commander afd Contrary to y.e peace of y.e s.d Lord prop.ry
that now is his Good Rule and Government and against the form of y.e Act
of Assembly in that Case lately made and provided &c.a wherefore y.e
Same Attry of the s.d Lord prop.ry prayeth the advice of the Court here
in the premisses for the said Lord prop.ry and Due process of Law in
in this part to be made against the afd John to Answer unto y.e s.d Lord
prop.ry of and upon the premisses &c.a            T francis Cler. pac.
Test Tho.s Gibbons, Jn.o Walters, W.m Doring

    And the afd John Wilson in his proper person Cometh and Saith
that he is in no Sort guilty of the premisses above upon him Imposed as by
the afd Information it is alledged and thereof he putteth himself upon

    And he who followeth for the Lord prop.ry in the manner Saith he is guilty
