Due process of Law in this part to be made against the afd Walter to Answer to
the s.d Lord prop.ry of and upon the premisses &c.a     T francis Cler. pac.

    And the afd Walter Freestone in his proper person Comes and Saith that he
Can not gainsay the Information afd so as afd against him brought nor Can he
say But that he is guilty of the premisses above him Imposed as by the
afd Informacon it is alledged and thereupon Submits to the Court Therefore
it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Court house in the Town of Chester
in s.d County this Sixteenth Day of August Anno Dom. 1726 that the said
Walter Freestone Receive at the publick Whipping post twenty one lashes
well laid on his bare back till the blood appear as a punishment for his
afd Crime of Committing adultery in form afd Confest also it is Considered
that the s.d Walter pay the Sume of two hundred and Eighty Eight
pounds of Tob.o Costs Accrueing on the premisses afd to y.e officers of this
Court &c.a

    Ordered by the Court here that the Sherr of Kent County to he the afd
Walter Freestone into his Custody and Execute the Lashes in the Judgm.t
afd Specified of which precept the s.d Sherr to wit John Gresham Gent
High Sherr now here at this Day to wit the Day and year afd makes
Return thereof in these words thereon Indorst viz.t

Kent County afd upon their oath Do present that Mary Cunningham late
of Shrewsbury parish in the County afd Spinster the first Day of October
