the afd Indictment it is alledged and thereupon Submitts to the Court Therefore
it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Court house in the Town of Chester
in s.d County this twenty first Day of June Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred
and twenty Six that y.e said Mary Ryle pay the Sume of Six hundred pounds
of Tobacco as a fine for her afd offence of Committing fornication in form
afd Confest as also that She pay the Sume of two hundred and ^Ninety^ Eight
pounds of Tobacco Costs Accrueing on the premisses afd to y.e officers of

    The afd Mary Ryle being ordered to prove the begetter of her Child Declares
on the holy Evangilists of Almighty God that Ephraim Gilbert is y.e begetter
of the Child in the Indictment afd Specified

    Ordered by the Court here that the Sher of Kent County keep the s.d Mary
Ryle in Safe Custody untill She Shall give Security for her fine and fees
in the Judgment afd Specified                                        Thereupon Tho.s
Hynson jun.r of Kent County planter Comes into Court and assumes
to pay the fine in y.e Judgment afd amounting to Six hundred pounds
of Tobacco

    Ordered by the Court here that the afd Mary Ryle Enter ^into Recog.c w.th Good^ Security for
her appearance here ^at^ Next November Court Thereupon Mary Ryle of
Kent County Spinster acknowledges her self Indebted unto y.e Lord prop.ry
of this province of Maryland in the Sume of ten pounds Sterling money
of Great Brittain to be Levey'd &c.a Conditionally that if She Shall
not make her personal appearance here at the next November Court
to be held for s.d County wherewith the s.d Mary Doth Acknowledge
herself to be Content                                                            also

    Peter Massey of Kent County planter Acknowledges himself Indebted
unto the Lord prop.ry of this province of Maryland in the Sume
of ten pounds Sterl money of Great Brittain to be Levey'd &c.a Conditionally
that if the afd Mary Ryle Shall not make her personal
appearance here at the next November Court to be held for s.d County
wherewith the s.d Peter is Content
