of her body and to begett then and there a Mollatoe bastard Child on
the body of her the Same Elizabeth to the high Displeasure of Almighty
God to the Evill Example of all others in Such Case offending Contrary
to the peace of the s.d Lord prop.ry his Good Rule and Government
and against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such Case made and
provided &c                                T Francis

    On y.e back of y.e preceeding Indictment was as foll.s viz.t
Testis Griffith Jones, also, A true bill p.r Sam.l Wilkes foreman

    And the afd Elizabeth Carr in her proper person Comes and Saith that
She Cannot Gainsay the Indictment afd so as afd against her
brought nor but that She is Guilty of the premisses above upon her
Imposed as by the afd Indictment it is alledged and thereupon Submitts
to the Court Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit
at the Court house in the Town of Chester in s.d County this twenty Eighth
Day of Aprill Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and twenty five that
the afd Elizabeth Carr Serve the term and Space of Seven years ^after y.e Expiration of her present Service^ as a
punishment for her afd Crime of Committing fornication with a
Certain Negroe in form afd Confest According to the force from and
Effect of y.e Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided also it is
Considered by the afd Justices here that the s.d Elizabeth Carr pay the
Sume of one hundred and Ninety Six pounds of Tobacco Costs Accrueing
on the premisses afd to the officers of this Court

    Ordered by the Court here at this Day to wit the Day and year last mentioned
that the afd Elizabeth Carr prove the Begetter of her Child who
Declares on the holy Evangilists of Almighty God that a Certain Jacob
Miner a free Negroe is the begetter of the last Base born Child She was
Delivered off

    Ordered by the Court here that Thomas Strong keep the afd Child till
next June Court for which he is to be allow'd in next Levey

    Ordered by the Court here that the afd Elizabeth Carr find Security
for her appearance at next Court
