 Kent County fs.t The Jorors for the Right Honourable the
Lord prop.ry that now is for the body of Kent County afd
upon their Oath Do present that Henry Gording late of
Saint pauls parish in the County afd Gentleman the
first Day of November Anno Dom. one thousand Seven hundred twenty and
five at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court in
and upon a Certain William Mackey in the peace of God and
of the s.d Lord prop.ry then and there being with force and Arms an assault did
make and him the s.d W.m Mackey then and there did beat wound and evilly
treat so that of his life it was much Dispaired and other harms to him then and
there Did to the great Damage of the s.d W.m Mackey and against the peace
of the s.d Lord prop.ry that now is hid Good Rule and Dignity &c.a

    On the Back of y.e pceeding Indictm.t was Endorst as foll.s viz.t

                        A true bill by W.m Crowe foreman

    And the afd Henry Gording in his proper person Comes & Saith that he
Cannot gainsay the Indictment afd so as afd against him brought nor but that
he is guilty of the premisses above upon him Imposed as by the afd Indictm.t
it is alledged and Thereupon Submits to the Court Therefore it is Considered by
by the Justices here to wit at the Court house in the Town of Chester in s.d Coty
this Nineteenth Day of November Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and
twenty five that the afd Henry Gording pay the Sume of fifty pounds
of Tobacco as a fine for his afd offence of Committing an Assault in
form afd Confest as also that he pay the Sume of one hundred and
Seventy two pounds of Tob.o Costs Accrueing on the pmisses afd to the
officers of this Court

    The Grand Jury for this County is Discharged and allowed five hundred
pounds of Tob.o at Francis Lewis's

    Daniel Pearkins of Kent County planter haveing used indeacent
behaviour in open Court Whereupon it is adjudged by the Justices here
this Nineteenth Day of November Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and
twenty five that the afd Daniel Pearkins pay the Sume of one hundred
pounds of Tob.o as a fine for his afd offence of useing indeacent behaviour
in open Court
