Tenements for the use of the s.d Lord prop.ry his heirs and Successors Conditionally
that if the Same Isaac Ashley Should not make his personal appearance
before the Justices of the then next Court to be held for the County afd at
the Court house in the Town of Chester in the Same County to answer unto an
Indictment found against him for felony and if ^that in the mean time^ he Should not be of
Good Behaviour and now at this Court to with the Sixteenth Day of Novem.br
Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and twenty five the s.d Isaac Ashley
haveing appeared their Recognizances also Either of them as Discharged

the Lord prop.ry that now is for the body of Kent County
afd upon their Oath do present that Isaac Ashley late
of S.t pauls parish in the County afd Labourer the first Day of March
Anno Som. Seventeen hundred and twenty four with force and arms at the
parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court one Weather
of the price of ten Shillings Current money of Maryland of the Goods and
Chattels of a Certain Honnor Hurley then and there being found then & there
feloniously did Steal take Drive and Lead away Contrary to y.e peace of the
s.d Lord prop.ry that now is his good Rule and Government and against the
form of the Act of Assembly in Such Case made and provided &c.a

    And the afd Isaac Ashley in his proper person Cometh and Saith that he is
in no Sort guilty of the premisses above upon him Imposed as by the afd
Indictment it is alledged and thereof he putteth himself upon the Country

And he who followeth for the Lord prop.ry in like Manner Saith he is guilty

    Thereupon Command was Given to the Sherf of Kent County that he
Imediatly Cause to Come here twelve &c.a by whom &c.a who neither &c.a to Recognize
&c.a because as well &c.a of which s.d precept the s.d Sherf to wit Fred.k Hanson
Gent Now here at this Day to wit the Sixteenth Day of November Anno Dom.
Seventeen hundred and twenty five makes Return that he hath here
