LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 83.

hereafter, such reasonable tax upon the property, real, per-
sonal and mixed, in which the capital stock of the said
company, hereby incorporated shall be invested, in com-
mon with similar property of any other corporation, or in-
dividual of this State.


Sec. 11. And be it enacted, That this act shall continue
and be in force until the first day of January in the year
one thousand eight hundred and fifty-three and until the end
of the next session of the General Assembly that shall
happen thereafter.


Sec. 12. And be it enacted, That the affairs, books and
circumstances of said company, shall at all times be sub-
ject to the inspection of the Treasurer of the Western
Shore, or such other person as may be appointed by either
branch of the General Assembly for the time being.


CHAPTER 83.

Passed Feb.31, 1833

A supplement to the act, entitled, "An act to Incorporate the
Warren Manufacturing Company."

Authority to elect

officers

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the present Stockholders of the Company
incorporated by the act to which this is a supplement, be,
and they are hereby authorized to hold an election for
President and directors of said Company, on the first
Monday in April next, or within thirty days thereafter, un-
der and according to the provisions of the said original
act, and in like manner to hold their elections for officers
annually, during the existence of said act, their failure
heretofore to hold such election to the contrary notwith-
standing.

Eligibility.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall not be neces-
sary, in order to render a person eligible to the situation of
of President or director of said Company, that he be a
member thereof, or hold stock therein.

Vacancy.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That whensoever any va-
cancy shall occur, by the death, removal, resignation, or
disqualification, of the President, or any director of said
Company, the remaining directors shall have full power
and authority to fill such vacancy or vacancies by electing
another person or persons, to serve until the next annual
election that shall happen thereafter.
