CHAP. 66.

In case of future

epidemics

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said Com-
missioners be, and they are hereby authorised and empow-
ered in cases of like visitations by epidemics, in future, in
said county, to provide for the payment of all expenses
that may occur in procuring temporary hospitals, and the
attendance to the poor of said county, who shall become
the victims of such epidemic or epidemics.


CHAPTER 65.

Passed Feb.18,1833

A further supplement to an act entitled, an act empowering
and directing the Commissioners of Cecil county to build
two fire proof offices for the use of the Clerks and Regis-
ter of Wills, for the safe keeping of the Records apper-
taining to their respective offices, in the town oj Elkton.

Levy of $2,000.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Commissioners of Cecil county be, and they are
hereby authorised at the ensuing assessment, to levy upon
the assessable property of said county a further sum of two
thousand dollars, if in their judgment it shall be deemed
necessary, for the purpose of completing the offices men-
tioned in the act to which this is a supplement; and build-
ing thereto an office for the Sheriff of said county.


CHAPTER 66.

Passed.Feb.18,1833

An act to repeal an act passed at December session, eigh-
teen hundred and twenty-seven, chapter eighty-three, and
for other purposes.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly,
by the petition of sundry citizens of Baltimore county,
that the compensation as now allowed by law to the Judges
and Clerks of Election, is not an adequate compensation
for their services: — Therefore,

Repeal.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the act passed at December session, eigh-
teen hundred and twenty-seven, chapter eighty-three, be,
and the same is hereby repealed.
