Resolution in favor of Samuel G. Osborn.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to Samuel G.
Osborn, a senator of this state, sixteen dollars, it being for
four days detention, on his way to the seat of government,
occasioned by the ice.

Resolution in favor of William Willis, of Frederick
County.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Sheriff of Frederick county be hereby empowered and
directed to discharge immediately, from the jail of said
county, William Willis, who is at this time imprisoned for
a fine imposed by the court of Frederick county, for an as-
sault and battery by him committed; Provided, that he is
not confined on any civil process, and that the costs which
have occurred upon the case, be paid by a levy made upon
the assessable property of said county. .

the Sounds.
WHEREAS, the General Assembly, at the last session,
adopted a resolution authorising the appointment of a
commissioner or engineer to superintend a survey of the
sounds between the Capes of Virginia and Delaware, and
