RESOLUTIONS. 1832.
to procure two suitable swords, appropriately ornamented, —
and present one of them to Col. Nathan Towson, of the
United States Army, and the other to Capt. John Galla-
gher, of the United States Navy, on behalf of the General
Assembly of the State of Maryland, as a testimony of the
admiration and gratitude of this their native State, for their
distinguished gallantry, and highly valuable services during
the last war, with Great Britain.
And be it further resolved, That the Treasurer of the
Western Shore, be, and he is hereby directed, to pay to the
order of the Governor such sum as may be necessary to
carry into effect the aforegoing resolution, out of any unap-
propriated money in the treasury.

Resolution in favour of Julianna Brice.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to Julianna Brice,
during life, out of any unappropriated money in the treasury,
in semi-annual payments, a sum of money equal to the half
pay of a Lieutenant, in consideration of the services ren-
dered by her husband during the revolutionary war.

Resolution in favor of William Moore, of Somerset
County.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the Western Shore, pay to William Moore,
of Somerset county, or to his order, during life, in quarter
yearly payments, a sum of money, equal to the half' pay of
a private, in consideration of services rendered by him
during the revolutionary war.
