A further supplement to an act, entitled, an act to Incorpo-
rate a company to make a Turnpike Road, from the Dis-
trict of Columbia, to the city of Baltimore, passed at De-
cember session, eighteen hundred and twelve, chapter seven-
ty-eight.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Baltimore and Washington Turnpike Company,
be, and they are hereby authorised to charge tolls on steam

carriages, travelling on their road; provided, such tolls
together with those from all other sources shall not exceed
the net profit of ten per cent, as provided in the twentieth
section of the act to which this is a further supplement.

CHAPTER 242.
|
|
|
|
An act to divorce Elizabeth Ness, of the city of Baltimore,
from her husband Samuel Ness.
|

|

|
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Elizabeth Ness, of the city of Baltimore,
be henceforth divorced from her husband Samuel Ness,
and the marriage heretofore had and solemnized between
them, is declared to be henceforth and forever null and
void; and they are hereby declared to be mutually released
from all and every duty and obligation, and benefit and ad-
vantage growing out and in consequence of the said mar-
riage, and the said Elizabeth Ness, is hereby declared to
be divorced a vinculo matrimonii.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That that the said Elizabeth
Ness be and she is hereby declared to be entitled to the
custody and guardianship of her children by her marriage
with the said Samuel Ness.
