CHAPTER 3.

cessary use of said Rail Road, thus extended into the
bounds of their said Depot, by the authority given to the
said Mayor, Aldermen, and Common Council, by this act.

Grading and level-
ing.

Sect. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Mayor, Al-
dermen, and Common Council, of Frederick, be, and they
are hereby authorized, to have all the grading and levelling
done, which may be necessary for the proper laying of said
single or double track of Rails, as authorized by the first
section of this law, and to pay for the same out of the pub-
lic revenue of Frederick.


CHAPTER 2.

Pasdsed Jan. 4, 1833

An act to alter and change the name of Lather Baker , of
the City of Baltimore, to Martin Luther Baker.

Name changed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the name of Luther Baker, of the City of Baltimore,
be, and it is hereby altered and changed to Martin Luther

Baker; Provided, That nothing in this act contained shall
be construed to release or absolve the said Luther Baker
from any contracts, engagements, or liabilities, which he
hath entered into, or in any manner so vary his present
subsisting responsibilities, or impair any rights which he
hath now or may hereafter acquire by the name of Luther
Baker.


CHAPTER 3.

Passed Jan. 9, 1833

An act extending the time for taking the Bond of the
Sheriff of Allegany county.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it is provided by an act of the General As-
sembly of Maryland, passed at November session, seventeen
hundred and nine-four, chapter fifty-four, entitled, "An act
for the amendment of the law in certain cases," that the

Sheriff's Bonds shall hereafter be taken on some day be-
tween the eighth of October and the first day of January in
each year; And whereas, Moses Rawlings, the "Sheriff of
said county, hath not entered into Bond agreeably to the
above recited act, and the act of November session, eigh-
teen hundred and six, chapter sixteen; — Therefore,
