CHAPTER 132.

CHAP. 132.

An act to repeal an act, entitled, "an act for the relief of
Joseph Stone, and other securities of William Williams,
late Sheriff and Collector of St. Mary's county" passed
at December tession, eighteen hundred and thirty one,
chapter two hundred and ten, and for other purposes.

Passed Mar. 4, 1833

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
an act, entitled, "An act for the relief Joseph Stone and
other securities of William Williams, late sheriff and col-
lector of St. Mary's county," passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and thirty-one, chapter two hundred and
ten, be and the same is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That Joseph Stone, admin-
istrator of said William Williams, late sheriff and collector
as aforesaid, be and he is hereby authorised anc
empowered to collect, or to appoint an agent to collect
until the first day of June, eighteen hundred and thirty-
four, all the fees and taxes which were placed in the hands
of said William Williams for collection, and which have
not been collected, in the same manner as the said Wil
liams might have done, within the time limited by law —

Provided, the said Joseph Stone, before he or the agent
whom he may hereafter appoint for that purpose, shal
proceed to execute the body or property of any person or
persons indebted for fees or taxes aforesaid, shall have de
livered, or cause to have been delivered, by virtue of the
act which this is intended to repeal, or shall deliver or
cause to be delivered to such person or persons, at least

Proviso

thirty days previous to serving or levying such execution
an account of the fees and taxes aforesaid due from him
her, or them. Provided also, That the said Joseph Stone
admistrator as aforesaid, or the agent whom he may ap
point as aforesaid, shall not be entitled to receive pound
age fee for executing or selling the property of any persor
or persons to satisfy the claims for fees and taxes afore
said.
