CHAP 61.

CHAPTER 60

Passed Feb. 11, 1835

An act supplementary to an act passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and thirty three, chapter two hundred
and fifty

Preamble

WHEREAS, by the act to which this is a supplement,
Mary Ann Farrell was divorced from her husband, who is
therein represented to be named James U Farrell, AND
WHEREAS it appears that his proper name is James W
Farrell, and as some doubt might arise as to the validity of
the act aforesaid, Therefore

Confirmation

Section 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the act to which this is a supplement, shall be so
construed, as to divorce Mary Ann Farrell from her husband
James W Farrell, as though his name should have been
therein correctly set forth

Forbid to marry

Sec 2 And be it enacted, That nothing in this act con-
tained, shall allow the said Mary Ann Farrell to marry again
during the life time of the said James W Farrell

CHAPTER 61

Passed Feb 16, 1835

A supplement to the act to Incorporate the Town, called and
known by the name of East New Market, in Dorchester
county.

Repeal

Section 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma
ryland, That so much of the ninth section of the original
act to which this is a supplement, as fixes the limits of the
said town of East New Market, to the distance of one half
of a mile from the tavern aforesaid, each way, be, and the
same is hereby repealed, and the limits of said town, in fu-
ture, shall be, one third of a mile, each way, from the tavern
aforesaid, and no farm or any part thereof, the duelling

Exempt on from

tax

house upon which shall not be in the limits of said town,
shall be subject to any tax or charge whatever, without the
consent of the owner or occupier thereof

Bailiff authorised

Sec 2. And be it enacted, That the bailiff hereafter to be
appointed by said commissioners, shall collect all fines and
forfeitures under the ordinances of said commissioners, and
for this purpose only, he is hereby invested with the same
