CHAP 34.

said piece or parcel of land, and of the buildings and so
forth, thereon made and erected, and after the whole of the
just claims against the said property shall have been paid
and satisfied, and all proper costs and charges paid — that
then the residue of the money arising from he said sale to
be made by the said Michael Morelock, shall be paid over
by the said Michael Morelock, to the vestry or other proper
officer or officers for the time being, of the said churches,
share and share alike

CHAPTER 33

An act to authorise the Burgess and Commissioners of the
Town of Williamsport, in Washington county, to lease,
let, sell, or otherwise dispose of a certain lot or parcel of
ground in said Town

Authority to sell

SECTION 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the burgess and commissioners of the town of
Williamsport, in Washington county, be, and are hereby,
authorized to sell, let, lease, or otherwise dispose of, a cer-
tain piece or parcel of ground in said town, and lying on
the south side of Potomac street, and the west side of
Commerce street, and commonly known as the public
square "

Sec 2 And be it further enacted, That the money ac-
cruing from the rents and profits thereof, shall be for the use
and benefit of said town, and may be appropriated by the
said Burgess and Commissioners, as shall seem best calcu-
lated to promote the general good of the town

Notice required

Sec 3 And be it enacted, That in case the Burgess and
Commissioners aforesaid, shall determine to sell the pro
perty above described, they shall give at least thirty days
notice in some newspaper printed in Washington county
