Lease granted

LAWS OF MARYLAND,
CHAPTER 315.

An act to allow Roderick McGregor, of Prince George's
County, to bring into this State, a negro man therein
named

Be it enacted by the General Assembly o/ Maryland, That
it shall and may be lawful for Roderick McGregor,of
Prrnce George's county, to bring rnto this State, his negro
man William Provided, the said Roderic McGregor, shall
within thirty days after he shall bring into this State, the
said negro man William, make affidavit that said negro
man William rs a slave for life, and shall deposit said affida-
vit with the clerk of Prince George's county court, to be

by him recorded, and provided, the said McGregor, shall
pay within thirty days after he shall bring the said negro
man into this State, to the clerk of Prince George's county
court, the sum of fifteen dollars, to be by him paid over to
the Treasurer of the Western Shore, for the use and bene-
fit of the colonisation society

Preamble

CHAPTER 316.

A further supplement to an act, entitled, an act for the relief
of sundry Insolvent Debtors, passed at November Session,
eighteen hundred and five.

WHEREAS since the passage of the original act to which
this is a supplement, the duties of the justices of the Or-
phans court have been greatly multiplied, so far as they
appertain to the release of rnsolvent debtors, and the com-
pensation is now greatly inadequate to the services rendered,
Therefore,

Fee for ordering

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
in all cases hereafter where a discharge rs given by any jus-
trce of the Orphans' court to any insolvent debtor, and rt
shall be necessary for said justice to pass an order for the
sale of the effects of such rnsolvent, and to fix the per cen
tage of the trustee, he shall be allowed the sum of two dol-
lars therefor, to be paid by the trustee whose said order is
passed, which sum shall be credited to the trustee in mak-
ing his distribution as part of the expenses accruing in set-
