JAMES THOMAS, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

1834.

Courts of Somerset and Dorchester Counties, by the first
day of April next, and the filing of the assent aforesaid
shall be of the same binding, force, and effect, on the said
President and Directors, as if it had been made with the
Levy Courts, as is provided for in the original fourth sec-
tion: And the said Bridge shall be taken and considered as
free for the residents of each of the said counties from the
said first day of April next, subject to the limitations and
restrictions imposed by the said original act.

CHAPTER 157.

An act to record and make valid a Deed therein mentioned.

Passed Mar. 7, 1835

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly,
that a certain Samuel Godman, late of Anne Arundel coun-
ty, deceased, made and executed a deed of bargain and sale,
to a certain John S. Belt, also of Anne Arundel county, but
now deceased, bearing date on the third day of September
seventeen hundred ninety-four, which said deed was ac-
knowledged before one justice of the peace in said county,
and was therefore insufficient to pass the legal title to the
premises mentioned in the said deed, Therefore,

Preamble

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the clerk of Anne Arundel county, be and he is
hereby authorised and directed to record the said deed
among the Land Records of Anne Arundel county, within
six months from the passage of this act.

Record directed

See. 2. And be it enacted, That upon the recording of the
said deed agreeably to the provisions of this act, it shall
have the same effect, notwithstanding said imperfect ac-
knowledgment, as is allowed to deeds recorded after the
time prescribed by law, by the act of December session, of
the year eighteen hundred and thirty one, chapter three
hundred and four.
