CHAP. 134.

Ambrouse, be, and the same is hereby altered and changed
to that of Elizabeth Ellen Shaw, and it shall and may be
lawful for the said Ellen Ambrouse, at all times hereafter,
to be called and known by, to hold and use the name of
Elizabeth Ellen Shaw, and by that name, to purchase, hold,
sell, contract, convey, or devise, and to sue and be sued, in
any court of law or equity

An act to change the name of Peace Alley, in the City of Bal-
more, to Perry Street

|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
from and after the passage of this act, the name of Peace
Alley, in the city of Baltimore, shall be, and it is herein
changed to Perry street, Provided, this act shall be first ap-
proved by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
|

An act to authorise the sale of certain Real Estate in Calvert
County
|
|
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, it appears by the petition of George W.
Smith, and Ann, his wife, made to the General Assembly
of Maryland, that proceedings have been heretofore insti-
tuted in Calvert County Court, on the equity aide thereof,
for the purpose of selling the real estate of John Johnson,
late of said county, deceased, to pay his debts, but that
said proceedings cannot be matured to a decree, because
John Wilson, one of the heirs at law of the said John
Johnson, is deaf and dumb, and cannot, therefore, be in-
formed of the said proceedings, and whereas, the delay thus
occasioned is working serious injury to the creditors of the
said John Johnson, and therefore demand the interference
of the Legislature, — Therefore,

Authority to decree
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Judges of Calvert County Court, or any one of them,
be, and they are hereby authorised to decree a sale of the
