An act for the relief of John P. Paca, of Queen Anne's
County.

|

|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Levy Court of Queen Anne's County, be, and they are
hereby authorised and empowered to examine the accounts
of John P. Paca, of said county, for services rendered by
him as supervisor of one of the roads in said county, and
proper, on the assessable property of said county, which
sum, when so assessed and levied, shall be collected as oth-
er county charges are, and paid over to the said John P.
Paca: or his order.

CHAPTER 131.

Are act for the relief of Richard Osbourn.
|
Passed Mar 3, 1835
|
|
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
it shall and may be lawful, for Richard Osbourn, to bring
into this State, his negro man, Mark Hemsley, a slave for
life; Provided, the said Richard Osbourn shall, within thirty
days after he brings the said slave into this State, make
oath before some justice of the peace in and for the county
into which he may introduce said slave, that he is a slave
for life, and shall lodge said affidavit with the Clerk of said
county, to be by him recorded; and provided, the said Os-
bourn shall pay to the Clerk of the Court of the county
into which said slave shall be introduced, the sum of fifteen
dollars, to be paid over by the said Clerk to the Treasurer
of the Western Shore, for the use and benefit of the Colo-
nization Society.
