visor of roads in said county is subject to lor the like failure
of duty, and that all the laws relative to public roads in said
county, shall be held to apply to the aforesaid roads.

An. act to authorise William H D C Wright, to bring
into this State, certain Slaves therein named
|
|
|
Preamble
|
WHEREAS, William H D C Wright, now resides at
Rio de Janeiro, whither he went as Consul of the United
States, carrying with him two negro slaves, Frederick and
Maria, who have since had two children, Edward and
Lewis, and the said Wright intending to return to this State,
is desirous to bring said slaves into this State, Therefore

Permission granted
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
William H D C Wright, be, and he is hereby authorised
to bring into this State, his negro slaves named Frederick and
Maria, together with their two children, Edward and Lewis
|

An act to alter and change the name of the Hagerstown Fe
male Society for the Instruction of Poor Children
|
|
|
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
from and after the passage of this act, the society hereto-
fore known by the name of The Hagerstown Female Socie-
ty for the Instruction of Poor Children, incorporated at
December session, eighteen hundred and eighteen, chapter
eighty, shall be called and known by the name and style of
The Hagerstown Chanty School Provided, that nothing
herein contained, shall in any wise alter or change the
liabilities, rights and duties of said corporation, as prescrib-
ed in the said original act of incorporation
