that he satisfy said commissioners, that he did not come in-
to this State, with the view of obtaining (he benefit of said
insolvent laws, and Provided also, that the said Robert
Roach, shall be compelled to file his petition for the benefit
of said insolvent laws, previous to his discharge from cus-
tody

An act for the relief of Thomas Perry, late Sheriff and Col
lector of Charles County

Time extended

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma
ryland, That the time limited by law, in which Thomas
Perry, late Sheriff and Collector of Charles County, should
have completed his collections, be and the same is hereby
extended to the first day of February, eighteen hundred and
thirty six, and that said Thomas Perry shall within said
time, be allowed to complete his collections, as fully as if
the same had been done within the time limited by law

Accounts-affidavit

Sec 2. And be it enacted, That the said Thomas Terry, be-
fore he proceeds to execute the body or property of any
person or persons for fines, forfeitures, amerciaments, offi-
cers fees, or public dues by the authority of this act, shall
deliver or cause to be delivered, to such person or persona,
chargeable with the same, or left at his, her or their houses,
at least thirty days previous to serving or levying such exe-
cution, an account of the sum demanded of him, her or
them, with an affidavit annexed thereto, that he hath not,
nor hath any other person or persons acting under him,
whilst sheriff and collector, nor since, received any part
thereof, or satisfaction for the same, to the best of his

knowledge and belief provided, that if any person or persons
against whom a claim shall be set up by said Thomas Per-
ry, for fees or officers fees as aforesaid, shall make affidavit
before any justice of the peace, of said county, that he or
she believes the same to have been paid and satisfied, it
shall forever bar the claim from being collected by execu
tion as aforesaid and provided also, that nothing in this
act shall be construed to authorise the collection by execu-
tion, of any claim against the estate of any deceased person
