CHAPTER 108

Passed Feb. 19 1835

An act extending the time for completing the Turnpike Road
from Boonsborough, in Washington County to the Potomac
River, and for other purposes.

Section 1 Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the time for completing the Turnpike Road
from Boonsborough to Swearingen's Berry, on the Potomac
River, in Washington county, be, and the same is hereby
extended to the year eighteen hundred and thirty eight, and
to the end of the first session of the Legislature there
after

relinquish bridge

Sec 2 And be it enacted, That whenever the Boonsbo-
rough Turnpike Company shall have completed their Road
to Swearingen's Ferry, on the Potomac River the Com
missioners of Washington county, for the lime being, are
hereby authorised and empowered, if they, in their discre-
tion, shall think proper, to relinquish to the said Boonsbo-
rough Turnpike Company, the bridge built on the line of
said road, across the Antietam Creek, near Mumma's Mill,
and that the said Company, on the relinquishment of paid
Bridge by the Commissioners, shall be entitled to receive
the same tolls, upon the same terms, on that portion of the
Road from the Antietam Creek to the Potomac River as
other Companies of a similar nature are entitled to receive

An act to amend the Assessment Laws, for Caroline county

Preamble

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assembly,
by petition of the commissioners of the tax for said county,
that much property is lost or exempted from taxation every
year, for want of a law to make it the duty of executors,
administrators, sheriffs, coroners, constables and elisors, to
return a list of sales in a posted form, of all such taxable pro-
perty as shall be by them administered, seized, taken and
sold in legal manner and form, stating the names of the
original owners of such property, and the name of names of
the purchaser or purchasers of the same,
