RESOLUTIONS.

than five hundred dollars shall be levied in any one year.

Resolved further, That the clerk
of Prince George's County
Court be, and he is hereby directed and required, under a
penalty of five hundred dollars, to deliver to the above mentioned
Edward W. Belt, all and every record book or books,
which shall be directed to be rebound, repaired, or transcribed,
agreeably to the foregoing resolution, when thereto required.

No. 31.
A Resolution in favor of the heirs of William Osborn, a former
Sheriff of Harford County.
|

Resolved by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Attorney
General be, and he is hereby required, to examine into
the title of the state's claim to land in Harford county, formerly
owned by William Osborn which was purchased by the
state's agent, and sold by him, in or about the year eighteen
hundred, to a certain Thomas Hall, of said county, and now
in the possession of the representatives of said Osborn; and
that if, in his opinion, the title of the state to said land be such
as the state can recover, he shall forthwith institute a suit for
the same: but if, in his opinion, the claim of the state cannot
be sustained, that he then be, and is hereby authorised, to release
whatever claim the state may have to said property, to
the heirs and representatives of William Osborn.

A resolution in favor of Dennis O'Bryan, of Morgan County,
in the State of Virginia, an old revolutionary soldier.
|
|
Resolved by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the
Treasurer of the Western Shore be, and he is hereby directed
and required, to pay to Dennis O'Bryan, of Morgan county,
in the state of Virginia, an old revolutionary soldier, or to his
order, during life, in quarter-yearly payments, a sum of money
equal to the half-pay of a private, as a further remuneration
for his services during the revolutionary war.
