and the surname of Charles Stanley, junr. Henry, Daniel
and Maria Charlotte, lawful children of the said Carl Lud-
vig Strand berg, be changed and altered unto the name of
Strandberg.

CHAP. 40.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That it may and shall be law-
ful at all times hereafter, for the aforesaid named persons, to
be known and called by the respective names of Carl Lud-
vig Strandberg, Charles Strandberg, Henry Strandberg,
Daniel Strandberg and Maria Charloue Strandberg.

To be called

by the name of

Strandberg

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That all securities, promises,
contracts, assurances, deeds, and lawful acts whatsoever,
hereafter to be made and done by or to the said Carl Ludvig
Strandberg, or any of his aforesaid children, shall be of the
same force, validity and effect, and of equal avail, to all in-
tents and purposes, as if the names of Carl Ludvig Strand-
berg, Charles Strandberg, Daniel Strandberg, Henry Strand-
berg, and Maria Charlotte Strandberg, had been the true
and proper name by which the said persons had hitherto
been always known and recognized.

Contracts. &c. to

be valid

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That Eliza Loveday and her
lawful children, (late Eliza Stanley,) the lawful daughter of
the aforesaid Charles Stanley, now changed by this act to
Carl Ludvig Slrandberg, be and they are hereby authorised
and empowered to receive and enjoy all and singular the
privileges and immunities conferred by this act. to the afore-
said Charles Stanley, and his other children herein before
named.

CHAP. XLL.

An Act to transfer the Snow-Hill Militia Company, of
Worcester County, from the thirty-seventh to the ninth
Regiment of Maryland Militia.

Passed Feb 11,1829

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the company district of militia in Worcester
county, now attached to the thirty seventh regiment, and
which said company is known by the name of the Snow-
Hill Militia Company, shall be transferred and hereaftjr at-
tached to the ninth regiment of militia in said county, any
thing in the acts regulating the militia of this state to the
contrary notwithstanding.

CHAP. XLII.

A Supplement to the act, en tilled, An act to authorise
the Levy Court of Frederick County to levy a sum of
money for the purposes therein mentioned, passed De-
cember session eighteen hundred and twenty-Jive, chap-
ter eighty-four.
