CHAP. 181.
Proviso.

this act, and all donations from corporate bodies
shall also be
so considered, unless such corporation shall at the ensuing
election of said institution, require to be considered permanent
contributors, or contributors for the year, as the case may
be, in which events such corporation shall be regarded accordingly,
and may exercise the rights of other contributors;
Provided however, that whenever funds shall be raised purposefully
for the benefit of said institution by any society or association
of individuals formed as auxiliary thereto, or avowedly
for the purpose aforesaid, and such society or association shall
have appointed some one its representative or agent for such
purpose, the person so appointed, shall be permitted at the
elections of the institution for the year succeeding such contribution,
to give on behalf of such society or association, one
vote for every three dollars on the amount contributed, and
the members thereof, to recommend patients to the care of the
institution.

Repeal.

Sec. 10. And be it enacted,
That the property and funds
which shall be held by the said institution may, in the discretion
of the President and Directors thereof for the time being,
or a majority of them, be made available and appropriated
so far as necessary for the purpose of procuring a permanent
building for the use of the said institution, and that the
provisions of the former acts relating to said institution, so
far as inconsistent with this, be, and the same are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 182.
An act for the relief of Arthur Newman, of Kent county and
Richard Newman of
Queen Ann's County.
|
Payment directed.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
the orphans court of Kent county, be, and they are hereby
authorised and required to order and direct the administrator
or administrators of Richard Newman, late of said county,
deceased, to pay over to the aforesaid Arthur Newman and
Richard Newman, in equal portions, share and share alike,
all the personal estate of the said Richard Newman, deceased,
which may remain in his or their, the said administrators hands,
after deducting their proper allowances, payment of the debts
of said Richard, the funeral expenses, and the expenses incident
to the administration; and that the said Arthur and Richard
shall have the same remedies against the administrator or
administrators, to compel him to settle his or their accounts
with the said orphans' court, and to pay over to them the said
Arthur and Richard, the said residue of personal estate,
in manner aforesaid, to which any distributee of their personal
