Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That all acts and duties performed by James M'Guire,

acting as a justice of the peace in and for Caroline county,
be and the same is hereby made good and valid, to all in-
tents and purposes, in the same manner as if the said James
M'Guire had been a regularly naturalized citizen of the
United States from the time of his first receiving a commis-
sion of a justice of the peace.

CHAP. CXXIII.

An Act to change the Divsional Line between Dublin and
Brinkley's Election Districts in Someriet County.

Passed Mar 7,1829

Sec. 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That Litlleton U. Dennis, John Cottman, and Ro-
bert Cluff, of Somerset county, be and they are hereby ap-
pointed commissioners, and they, or a majority of them,
are hereby authorised and required, so to alter, fix and es-
tablish, the divisional line between Dublin and Brinkley's
election districts in said county, as to correspond with the
following metes, bounds and descriptions, viz. Beginning
on Pocomoke river at the divisional line of the lands of Lit-
tleton Dennis and George W. Powel, and to run thence
northwardly with the same to Stevens' Branch, and thence
up, by and with the said branch to the county road leading
from Curtis' Chapel to Stevens' Ferry, so as to include in
the Dublin election district, all the voters to the eastward of
the said divisional line; and the line, so settled and ascer-
tained, shall thereafter be taken and considered as the divi-
sional line between the said Dublin and Brinkley's election
districts; and the said commissioners are required to per-
form the duties herein imposed, and make return thereof on
or before the first day of July next, to the clerk of said
county.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the commissioners afore-
said shall be entitled to, and receive two dollars per day, for

imposed on them by this act, and the levy court of Somer-
set county shall levy the same for the use of said commis-
sioners at the same time when they levy for the other coun-
ty charges.

An Act to authorise the Levy Court of Somerset County to al-
ter and straighten the Public Road in said County, which
leads across Dames' Quarter Neck.
