mage that may be sustained by any person or persons
through whose land the said road may be made to pass, (tak-
ing injo consideration the advantages and disadvantages,
if any,) and the damages so ascertained shall bo levied and
assessed as other county charges in said counties are, and
shall be paid by the county wherein such damages may be
sustained.

Sec...And be it enacted, That the said commissioners,
before they proceed to act, shall take an oath, or affirmation,
before some justice of the peace, that they will, without fa-
vow, partiality or prejudice, assess the damages sustain-
ed by the person through whose lands the said road may
pass.

CHAP. CX.

A Supplement to the act to Incorporate a Company to
make a Turnpike Road from near Ellicott's Lower
Mills, towards George- Town, in the District of Co-
lumbia.
|

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the president, managers and company, of the
Colun bia Turnpike road, incorporated by the act to incor-
porate a company to make a turnpike road from near Elli-
cott's Lower Mills towards George-Town in the District of
Columbia, passed at November session one thousand eight
hundred and nine, chapter one hundred and twenty-eight,
be and they are hereby allowed the term of three years from
the passage of this act to make and complete the turnpike
road in said act mentioned, and that unless said turnpike road
shall be made and completed within said term, the same
shall revert to the state.

CHAP. CXI.

An Act to authorise the Levy Court of Frederick Coun-
ty to levy a sum of money for the purposes therein spe-
cified.
|

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That from and after the passage of this act, the le-
vy court of Frederick county, are, and the same is hereby
authorised, if they in their judgment deem it expedient,
and that the public convenience requires the same, to levy
a sum of money for the reasonable repair of the road lead-
ing from the town of Westminster, Taney-towi, Emmits-
burg, and from thence to Troup's tavern, and in all re-
spects take such measures and proceeding as are had on
